The Hawkeye Wrestling Club and SingleSpeed Announce Partnership
Gable (Golden Lager), now brewed in collaboration with the Hawkeye Wrestling Club.
The Hawkeye Wrestling Club Exists to promote wrestling in Iowa and America by producing honorable elite level athletes through high level wrestling opportunities. Today they proudly announce this collaboration with SingleSpeed Brewing Co.
The beer, Gable, is a crisp and refreshing Golden Lager, created in honor of wrestling legend Dan Gable. Brewed in Waterloo, IA for the first time in 2017, with proceeds benefiting the Dan Gable National Wrestling Hall of Fame (DGNWHOF). The sale of Gable over the past six years has allowed SingleSpeed to donate in excess of $110,000 to the DGNWHOF. SingleSpeed Founder, Dave Morgan speaks to partnerships and his organizations passion for the sport of wrestling..
“Gable (Golden Lager) provides us an avenue to promote the sport of wrestling and the community that surrounds it. It also allows us to honor a living legend, who was born and raised right here in the city where we brew the beer bearing his name.” Morgan continued, “As we move forward with the Gable brand, we are confident that this new partnership with the Hawkeye Wrestling Club, an organization founded by Dan Gable in 1973, will help us maximize the good that we can do for the sport of wrestling in the state of Iowa.”

Since its inception in 1973, the focus of Hawkeye Wrestling Club has been to provide the training, coaching and resources necessary to help our athletes pursue their dreams of becoming World and Olympic Champions. The money raised through the HWC goes directly to benefit the athletes helping with livingexpenses, training and traveling needs. Maybe the most important aspect of the HWC is its pursuit in trying to get the best post-collegiate athletes to train with the HWC together in Iowa City to attain the ultimate prize in wrestling... NCAA, World, and Olympic gold medals.
